You are here: Home Creativity
at Bridge House in Shillingford
Master the basics and learn new skills:
You must book ahead as we keep class sizes small to allow the teacher to give each student individual attention. Students bring their own sewing machines. Cutting space and other tools will be provided. You can choose to work on a pattern and material you've brought, or buy a ready-to-sew kit from the teacher. Students are free to work at their own pace, and copious amounts of tea (or coffee or squash) and home-made cake will keep you fortified as you sew.
The Saturday Sewing School takes place at the Bridge House in Shillingford. We're a bright pink house near the only bridge in Shillingford. We're just 3 miles from Wallingford, 11 from Oxford and 16 from Reading. We have on-site parking and regular buses from these three places drop in easy walking distance of Bridge House. Our full address is: 72 Wallingford Road, Shillingford OX10 7EU.
All classes take place on a Saturday, and run from 9am to 1pm.
We are currently offering a cycle of classes. Beginners can work through a complete set of skills, while more advanced sewers can drop in to whichever classes they need. Each class will be tailored by the teacher to suit the needs and abilities of the students.
